The botanical garden as a site for the conservation of biodiversity. Considering That only 10% of the plant species on earth in known, the role of point of research is extremely.
The new Biodiversity Garden is a hi-tech project of the University of Padua. A solar active building simulating the climatic conditions of the planet’s biomes and hosts around 1300 species. A voyage through the Earth’s vegetation.
The new project is developed in the context of world’s oldest academic botanical garden that is still in its original location, founded in 1545 by the Venetian Republic and listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1997.
